We are seeking a Fundraising Associate to support our fundraising operations.

About the Position

We’re looking for a highly organized person that can create structures for efficiency and accountability, and move work forward. As the Fundraising Associate, you will be responsible for managing fundraising operations to support the organization’s revenue goals. This position reports to the Chief of Staff and will primarily work closely with the President. Much of the work can be routinized for efficiency, making the core of the role attention to detail and organization. 


Responsibilities

  • Supporting the President with scheduling donor meetings, meeting prep, notes capture, and closing out meeting after-actions. 

  • With the Chief of Staff, prepare weekly call time lists for the President based on fundraising priorities. 

  • Manage donor lists through our donor system and maintain meticulous donor records including cataloging all funder meetings happening across the organization.

  • Report weekly on pre-established fundraising metrics using a visual dashboard.

  • Track all incoming gifts and prepare acknowledgment letters to donors. 

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in non-profit fundraising, grant writing, or other forms of development with demonstrated successes.

  • You have remarkable organizational skills and attention to detail: you love to create order out of chaos, never miss a deadline, get a thrill from a well-organized spreadsheet, and have an eagle eye for typos.

  • Requires proficient professional experience working with Google Office Suite. 

  • Proficiency with Salesforce, ActBlue, and or AirTable is necessary to success. Knowledge of other fundraising databases is acceptable upon proof of ability to swiftly pick up on our tools.

  • Be self-directed, able to take initiative and multi-task. Must be resourceful!

  • A sense of humor and calm is deeply appreciated.

Expectations

  • This is a part-time position with paid sick and personal leave, no other benefits.

  • Hourly compensation is based on a full-time salary of $60k-$70k. The standard expectation is to work around 20-25/hours a week.

  • This position is fully remote. Potential for periodic coworking for candidates living in Washington, DC; Los Angeles, CA; or Oakland, CA. 

  • Start date is late August, through 2023 with the possibility of extension or expansion of duties.
